Arif Iqbal, O.D. earned his degree in Accounting and his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Arif Iqbal is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and has been in private practice for 29 years. He graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1988. He completed his undergraduate degree also from the University of Houston and holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. He completed his externship training at the Colmery-O’Neil Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Topeka Kansas in 1987.
Dr. Iqbal comes from a family of optometrists, as his father and grandfather were both optometrists practicing overseas. He has been working in the field of optometry since 1978, allowing him to gain a wide range of experiences from a young age.
He most enjoys serving patients onsite in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers, since they often cannot travel to obtain quality medical care.
He is happily married and is a father of three girls and one son ranging from ages 23 to 12. His favorite pastimes include playing sports, running half marathons and spending time with his family.
