Iqra Quddus, O.D. earned her undergraduate degree in Health Science from Stony Brook University in New York, and her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. While at the University of Houston, she completed a clinical rotation in Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury. Dr. Quddus was selected for the elite Bioscience Research Collaborative at Rice University. She was awarded a Clinical Letter of Excellence, in addition to being inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society for academic achievement.

Dr. Quddus went on to complete her internship rotation in ocular disease at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, where she provided medical eye care, and treated glaucoma and infections. Dr. Quddus completed a second rotation providing pre and post-operative care for major eye surgeries, medical specialty contact lenses, and chronic dry eye disease at Lakeline Vision Source in Austin. Dr. Quddus also spent four months volunteering at Hope Eye Clinic in inner-city Houston, providing primary care to non-English-speaking patients in need. .

Dr. Quddus is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and board certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry to perform medical eye exams and administer injections. She is registered with the DEA to prescribe and administer ophthalmic drugs, including oral antibiotics, glaucoma drops, and pain medication. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

Dr. Quddus is dual-licensed as a doctor in New York, and has traveled extensively. She is comfortable providing eye care speaking English, Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish.

She most enjoys helping patients suffering from dry eyes and ocular disease, fitting specialty contact lenses when traditional glasses and contacts are not adequate, and providing high quality pre and post-operative eye care for major refractive eye surgeries like LASIK, PRK, and cataract surgery. She uses the latest technology to diagnose eye diseases and keeps up with the newest eye treatments for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Quddus spends time with her newlywed husband in Fairview, Texas. She enjoys volunteering and helping special needs children both at volunteer clinics and events.
